Die Hard DVD Easter Eggs (2-Disc Special Edition)
The 2-disc special edition of Die Hard includes over six hours of bonus features. It also hides two Easter eggs inside the DVD menus.
Here’s how to find them.
Easter Egg 1: Hidden Outtakes Reel
Go to:
- From the Vault
- Select Outtakes
- Then enter The Vault
Inside that menu:
- Highlight Production Audio Only
- Press Up on your remote
A white pistol icon will appear pointing at Karl’s head.
Press Enter.
This unlocks a 5-minute reel of outtakes from the film. It includes bloopers, alternate angles, behind-the-scenes clips, and deleted scenes.
Easter Egg 2: Exploding Helipad
On the main menu of Disc 2, you’ll see the helipad layout with selectable options on the right side.
Do this:
- Move up and down as normal (this highlights the right-side lights)
- Then press Right
A single light on the left side of the helipad will now be highlighted.
Press Enter.
The helipad explodes and the message appears:
“There goes Fox Home Entertainment.”
