X-Men 3: The Last Stand DVD

The DVD release of X-Men: The Last Stand contains several pieces of hidden content that are not listed in the standard menu options.

These include a hidden promotional video, an alternate menu interface, and an extended scene featuring the character Hank McCoy.

If you know where to look, all three can be accessed directly from the DVD menus.

Here is how to find them.

Hidden Feature 1: Marketing Clip from Washington, D.C.

First, load the DVD and go to the Special Features section.

From here, select Deleted Scenes.

Navigate to page three of the deleted scenes menu.

Once you are on this page, press the Up button on your remote.

This will highlight a small X symbol on the screen.

Press Enter.

This unlocks a hidden promotional clip that was filmed in Washington, D.C. as part of the marketing campaign for X-Men: The Last Stand.

Hidden Feature 2: Alternate Menu Interface

There is also a second hidden feature within the Special Features menu.

While on the Special Features screen, press the Up button on your remote.

Another X symbol should become highlighted.

Press Enter.

This activates an alternate menu interface where the DVD’s colour scheme changes from its usual blue design to a bright yellow and gold theme.

It’s a small detail, but a nice hidden touch built into the disc.

Hidden Feature 3: Extended Scene with Hank McCoy

Finally, there is an extended scene hidden in the Scene Selection menu.

Go to Scene Selection and choose the option for Scenes 10–12.

On this screen, look at the lower-right corner where another X symbol appears.

Highlight the symbol and press Enter.

This unlocks an extended version of the scene featuring Hank McCoy, also known as Beast, played by Kelsey Grammer.

In this version of the scene, the character recites a line from William Shakespeare, adding a small extra moment to the sequence.

A Few Hidden Extras for Fans

Hidden DVD features like these were particularly common during the early and mid-2000s, when studios often included small Easter eggs within menu screens.

Although they were rarely listed in the menus, they rewarded curious viewers who experimented with their remote controls.

The X-Men: The Last Stand DVD includes several examples of this tradition, offering fans a few extra surprises hidden within the disc’s menus
