The Not Another Teen Movie DVD hides two secret Easter eggs that couldn’t be more different. One is a genuinely heartwarming behind-the-scenes moment, while the other features an extended version of one of the film’s most infamous scenes.
Here’s how to unlock both hidden features.
Easter Egg 1: Nathan West’s On-Set Proposal
The first Easter egg is surprisingly sweet.
How to Find It
- From the Main Menu, select Special Features.
- Go to the second page of the Special Features menu.
- Select Theatrical Trailers.
- On this screen, highlight Special Features.
- Press Right on your remote.
A hidden menu item will appear. Press Enter to watch a video of actor Nathan West proposing to co-star Chyler Leigh on the set of the film.
Thankfully, she said yes! The couple married in 2002 and have remained together ever since, making this one of the sweetest DVD Easter eggs you’ll ever find.
Easter Egg 2: The Full Unedited Kiss Scene
Now for the gross one.
How to Find It
- Return to the Main Menu.
- Select Scene Selection.
- Make sure the duck on the Scenes 1–4 page is highlighted.
- Press Down on your remote.
This highlights a rather unfortunate set of lips on the big fella’s backside.
Press Enter and you’ll unlock the full, unedited version of that kiss scene.
If you’ve seen the film, you’ll know exactly which scene we’re talking about. The hidden version lasts for around four and a half minutes, making it considerably longer — and much harder to watch — than the version included in the movie.
