The Mighty Boosh Season 2 DVD is packed with weird and wonderful extras, but it also hides three secret videos that many fans have never discovered.
One of them is particularly tricky to unlock and requires a very specific sequence of menu selections. Thankfully, I’ve done the hard work for you.
Here’s how to find all three hidden Easter eggs.
Easter Egg #1: Hidden Video on Disc 1
This is one of the most complicated DVD Easter eggs we’ve come across.
Insert Disc 1 and follow these steps:
- Turn on Audio Commentary.
- Turn on Subtitles.
- Wait for the main menu animation to loop all the way through once.
- When the menu resets, highlight Subtitles Off.
- Press Left on your remote.
An orange monkey face will appear on the screen.
Press Enter to watch a hidden short film featuring Noel Fielding and Dave Brown drawing, joking around and gently mocking director Paul King.
Easter Egg #2: Naboo the Shaman Rap
Now insert Disc 2.
Let the main menu play all the way through to the end.
Then:
- Press Right on your remote.
- A yellow monkey head will appear.
- Press Enter.
This hidden extra plays a rap dedicated to Naboo the Shaman, accompanied by clips from the series.
Easter Egg #3: BBC Promotional Adverts
There’s one final secret hidden on Disc 2.
Allow the main menu to play through completely once again.
Then:
- Press Left twice on your remote.
This unlocks a collection of BBC promotional adverts that were originally used to promote the show.
