Brass Eye DVD

The Brass Eye DVD Easter egg is a hidden audio recording featuring Chris Morris conducting a focus group interview. It perfectly captures the uncomfortable, absurd tone of the programme and is one of the most memorable hidden features on the disc.

This was also the first DVD Easter egg I ever found, and the one that started my collection.

What You’ll See

This Easter egg plays an extended focus group recording featuring Chris Morris interviewing members of the public.

The questions are deliberately confusing and absurd, but the participants respond as if the discussion is completely serious.

It’s a raw example of the show’s style, where humour comes from the contrast between the setup and the reactions.

Why This Easter Egg Stands Out

Unlike most DVD Easter eggs, this one is audio-only and runs as a longer, uninterrupted piece.

It gives a rare insight into how Brass Eye created its satire, showing how easily people could be drawn into responding to deliberately misleading questions.

It’s a simple hidden extra, but one that perfectly reflects the tone and approach of the series.
