LOST Season 2 DVD Easter Eggs (Region 4 Guide)
The Region 4 release of LOST: The Complete Second Season contains a collection of hidden Easter eggs spread across Disc 4 and Disc 7.
These Easter eggs include hidden featurettes, interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and production photographs that cannot be accessed through the normal menu structure.
This guide covers every Easter egg I could find on the Region 4 extended box set.
Disc 4: Geronimo Jackson Featurette
Start with Disc 4.
From the main menu, highlight Bonus Features but do not press Enter.
Instead, press Right three times.
A vinyl record will slide out from the shelf.
Press Enter.
This reveals a hidden album cover for the fictional band Geronimo Jackson, a group referenced several times throughout the series.
Now enter the following sequence on your remote:
Down, Left, Up, Left, Left
A small dot will appear in the top-left corner of the screen.
Select the dot and press Enter.
This unlocks a hidden featurette featuring LOST writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz discussing the history of Geronimo Jackson and how the fictional band became part of the show’s mythology.
Disc 7: Sawyer and the Dharma Cookies
Disc 7 contains the majority of the Easter eggs.
From the main menu, highlight Phase 3.
Press Up twice.
A small triangle will appear on the model displayed on the left side of the screen.
Press Enter.
This unlocks a short behind-the-scenes clip featuring Josh Holloway helping to make Dharma Initiative cookies, known by many fans as the fish biscuits seen in the series.
Disc 7: Dominic Monaghan’s Snowman Joke
Go to the Phase 1 menu.
Only three menu options appear selectable, but there is actually a hidden fourth option.
Highlight Fire + Water.
Press Left twice.
The cursor will move to Anatomy of an Episode.
Press Play.
This unlocks a short clip of Dominic Monaghan telling members of the crew his snowman joke during filming.
Disc 7: Jorge Garcia on Fake Sweat
Go to the Lost: On Location section.
Highlight Everybody Hates Hugo.
Press Right three times.
A small circle will appear on the right side of the menu.
Press Play.
This unlocks a short clip featuring Jorge Garcia discussing whether the sweat seen on screen is genuine or added by the production team.
Disc 7: Sam Anderson’s Fear of Heights
Still within Lost: On Location, highlight S.O.S.
Press Right twice.
Then press Up.
Another hidden circle will appear on the right side of the menu.
Press Play.
This unlocks a featurette showing actor Sam Anderson filming Bernard’s crash scene and discussing his fear of heights.
Disc 7: Hidden Evangeline Lilly Interview
Go to the Phase 2 menu.
Highlight Lost Bloopers.
Press Left twice.
A circle will appear in the lower-left corner of the screen.
Press Enter.
This unlocks a hidden interview with Evangeline Lilly.
At more than four minutes long, it is one of the longest Easter eggs on the set.
Disc 7: Walt Behind the Scenes
Open the Deleted Scenes menu.
Highlight Seeing Walt.
Press Left twice.
A small circle will appear on the right side of the screen.
Press Enter.
This unlocks a short behind-the-scenes clip showing Malcolm David Kelley preparing for one of Walt’s scenes.
Disc 7: Capturing the Chicken
Remain in the Deleted Scenes menu.
Highlight Connected.
Press Right three times.
A hidden circle will appear on the right side of the menu.
Press Enter.
This unlocks a short production clip showing members of the Tail Section cast filming a scene involving the capture of a chicken.
Disc 7: Rain Delays
Move to the final page of the Deleted Scenes section.
Highlight Play All.
Enter the following sequence:
Left
Up
Up
Left
A small circle will appear to the right of the Back button.
Press Enter.
This unlocks a featurette covering rain delays that affected production of the series.
Disc 7: Jack Bender’s Hatch Mural
Finally, return to Phase 3.
Highlight Secrets from the Hatch.
Press Left twice.
A blue circle will appear on the right side of the screen.
Press Enter.
This reveals a hidden photograph of director Jack Bender standing beside the famous Hatch mural.
Many viewers do not realise that Bender personally painted the mural used in the show.
